Healing Conference
Edenton UMC will host a one day conference on Healing Prayer on Saturday August 30 from 10am until 3pm. Our guest speaker will be The Reverend Nigel Mumford, Director of Christ the King Healing Center in Saratoga New York. Father Nigel has been involved in the healing prayer for many years. He serves on the National Advisory Board for Christian Healing Ministries in Jacksonville, Florida with Francis MacNutt, and is VP of Fishnet-an organization to encourage the healing ministry in New England. He is also chaplain of the International Order of St. Luke.
Jesus commissioned his disciples to heal the sick as a means of making disciples. But, has the healing ministry lost its relevance for the church today? How do we bring the healing ministry to life in our churches and restore the vitality of the healing ministry to the everyday ministries of modern disciples?
Come be a part of this exciting re-discovery of our churches ministry. A Eucharistic Serive of Healing Praye will be held at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary. The public is invited to atend.
