Charge Conference Worship Information

Attached you will find the Order of Worship for the joint worship service to be held at 7 p.m. between the business sessions.  Please make the choices you need to make and have copies of the order available for distribution at the service.  Clearly, one church or the other will need to provide a musician to accompany congregational singing.
If you would prefer to have communion rather than renewal of membership vows as a response to the word, that’s fine by me.  Make that decision between yourselves and have everything ready.  If that is your preference, the biulletin should list “A Service of Word and Table II, page 12” rather than “Renewal of Membership Vows.”  I will preside at the table and the pastors and Lay Leaders can serve the congregation.
Those of you who have “stand alone” Charge Conferences should adapt the service so that we move from business into the Opening Hymn and go from there.
If you have any questions, or particular local flavor you would like to add, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I will be checking e-mail each evening from the retreat.
Blessings on you all.  I give thanks to God the labor which you do in his vineyard.

If possible, please have a pitcher with water and a font available for the renewal of membership vows during the worship time.

Blessings on you all.  I give thanks to God the labor which you do in his vineyard.
